| Sports and golf betting lines | ||
|
Sports betting lines are the ways through which the online sportsbook review and present their odds. The sportsbooks list their betting lines through three ways. These mostly include the decimal, fractional and the American lines. The types of odd formats or the sports lines are mostly depended on where you live in the world. For instance, people from the UK are more familiar with the fractional odds whereas the decimal odds are most popular among the punters in Europe. Here, we are going to look at the common sports betting lines.
Decimal Betting lines: These bets are viewed as decimal point such as 3.55, 5.0 and 1.85. These odds reflect the total return every bettor gets on a win for $1 wagered. This also includes the wager amount. Fractional betting lines: These are mostly listed in the way as they are listed in the elementary school such as 7/2 fractional odds or in the form of 4:1. This means that you will win $4 for every $1 bet. American Betting Lines: These are lines that are displayed as positive (+) and negative (-) odds and is normally based around the $100 figure. The negative lines depict the favorites whereas the positive indicate the underdog. |

| Woods the early Masters’ favorite | ||
|
April’s Masters is nearing its timeframe in the world of golf, with betting action already taken by oddsmakers around the globe. Experts have been following weekly tourneys, with sports picks and early wagering positions being made by bettors looking for initial edges.
Tiger Woods has opened as the event’s ‘chalk,’ with the four-time Masters champ offered at a price of 4/1. Last year’s affair in Augusta saw Woods finish in a fourth-place tie for a second straight time, while South Africa’s Charl Schwartzel took the battle’s title with a finish of 14 under par. Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson are the betting public’s next choices at 7/1 and 8/1, respectively. McIlroy captured last June’s U.S. Open, the 22-year-old’s first major victory. Mickelson is a three-time Masters winner, with 2010 being his most recent year with a green jacket. Luke Donald and Lee Westwood begin the Masters’ list of longer shots, respectively priced at 12/1 and 14/1. Donald cracked the top four at Augusta for the second time in 2011, while Westwood was the Masters’ runner up in 2010. The British duo presently rank No. 1 and No. 2 in golf’s world rankings, with Donald holding a points average of 9.59 compared to Westwood’s number of 7.93. British Open attracts the same favorites Sports books have also offered early betting odds on July’s British Open, with many of the Masters’ same cast of characters at the top of the wagering charts. Woods (5/1), McIlroy (7/1), Westwood (10/1), and Donald (14/1) presently are the oddsmakers’ leading four choices. Mickelson is currently a 25/1 long shot to win his first “Open” title, following a second-place finish in 2011. The 41-year-old finished three strokes behind Northern Ireland’s Darren Clarke, who betting shops list at a sizable 65/1 to repeat his feat. Sergio Garcia (18/1) and Martin Kaymer (20/1) expect to appear in England for this summer’s duel, with the duo picking up steam. Garcia finished in ninth place as part of 2011’s affair, following three straight years of ending the contest off the top-ten’s board. Kaymer finished well out of contention in his first two attempts at the “Open” during 2008-2009, while coming in seventh and 12th over the event’s past pair of years. |

| Can Rory Mcilroy become the best ever? | ||
|
Many people have been waxing lyrical about the young Rory Mcilroy after his stunning US Open win at the Congressional Club. Now I for one am not going to reduce that achievement because as someone who has been a very keen follower of sports over many years then I have seen many great things but few better than what Mcilroy achieved. The way that he came back from his huge disappointment after his mental blowout at the final round of the Masters would have finished most people. So it was for me one of the most amazing things that I have ever witnessed not just in golf but in sport full stop.
However there have been many people jumping overboard a bit too quickly of late about how good Mcilroy is or how good he will be. In my experience you simply cannot predict the future with that much certainty. Whether it is down at your local casino playing roulette or playing Texas Hold em poker in your local cash game……it still makes no difference. One of the key factors when it comes to sports betting is to never assume that something that is likely to happen will happen or what is unlikely to happen will never happen. Many people make this mistake but one thing is certain and this is that the record of 18 majors that Jack Nicklaus holds is a long way in the distance. There are simply too many issues that stand in the way of anyone reaching that total. One can see examples all over the place when you look closely enough. Some years ago it was seen as basically a formality that the young Sergio Garcia would win numerous majors because of his enormous talent. After all this time then we are still waiting and he is slipping further and further down the world rankings. It was assumed as a formality that Colin Montgomerie would win a major but he never did. |

| Tips for Breaking Eighty | ||
|
It is difficult for many players to break eighty. If you are one of the golfers and have asked other golfers what the secret to breaking eighty is you have likely received a lot of different answers. There are a lot of tips including the following that will help you to break eighty. First one of the most important tips is to master your shots from the tee. You can do this with any club. One of the biggest factors in not breaking eighty is bad shots. Players often over it the ball and that leads to a loss of control of the ball. Learn how to reach the distance with the golf ball. This will mean knowing when you should begin your down swing and keeping square with the club. Practice will play a significant role in your ability to break eighty. Start with higher tees to learn how to control you club off at lower ones. This will help you to learn control over your swing and to have better control over the ball. How and where you hold your hands on the club will also make a difference. Fro example holding your hands lower will shorten your swing. Take the time to practice improving your swing and the ball off the tee and you will begin to get closer to breaking eighty. |
| Woods Sidelined For A Few Weeks | ||
|
Tiger Woods set the golf world on fire at Augusta during the final round of The Masters, or at least the front nine where he shot a 31, but a faulty putter let him down coming in and he ended up finishing T-4, his seventh straight year in the top six at The Masters. It reminded everyone how much better golf is when Woods is competitive, but it looks like we may have to wait a while to see if Woods can build on his Augusta success.
Woods will be out for a few weeks with injuries to his left knee and Achilles Heel, which he hurt on the 17th hole on Sunday at Augusta when hitting a shot out of some pine straw, and he has been in a walking boot since that happened. Woods would have likely been one of the top online betting choices at Quail Hollow, where he was slated to play next weekend and won in 2007, but he has decided to respect his doctor’s orders and sit out the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow. The next event Woods is due to play is The Players Champions at TPC Sawgrass, but we wouldn’t bet on that if Woods isn’t 100% healthy because he’s not a big fan of that course in the first place. This brings up the aspect of Woods’ game that a lot of people seem to gloss over. With the off-course scandal, many wonder if Woods has the focus to get back to his winning ways. That’s the last thing in the world you want to doubt. But Woods is 35 years old and he has already had four surgeries on this left knee, the same knee that was a mess when he won the 2008 U.S. Open. That was his last major championship, and it looks like the ailing knee will be his biggest obstacle when it comes to cutting into Jack Nicklaus’ lead for the most majors in golf history. Keep a close eye on this story as the golf season progresses. |

Soccer is a fast and fun sport that includes a whole lot of running. Players are always on the move from one area of a field to another. They are barely ever standing still for even a short period time other than the goal keeper. Nonetheless, in order to make sure that a soccer player is safe, he or she needs to have the right gear when practicing or playing the game. Soccer protective gear does not only protect soccer players but also presents team identity. This gear is designed with colors and style according to the teams color codes. |
| Good Golf Course Makes all The Difference | ||
|
For pro golfers i guess, it doesn't really matter where they play as long as they can compete, and keep earning that paycheck, even if they do have favorite golf course, since they are in the tour, and play at the most famous courses. For the common people, now that's a different story. Hawaii golf courses, for example are for the most part, a very good courses to play on, pro or not. since most common golfer don't have access to the better courses out there, when he is on vacation in Hawaii for instance, it will be relive to find out that your course is at a high level, and not a sandbox with holes. Playing at Hilton Head golf can also be an exciting for regular folks who likes to be on the green. Beginners or pros, it is always wise to be ready on the course, and be able to play golf at ease, and with good support. A lot of those courses are rough, but there is nothing like be on a great vacation, and find that you can play a great game of golf with your friends on a great course right near by. |

| Golf Fans - Fan Power - Fanatic Fans | ||
|
Golf fans and fans in general always contribute is various ways, they cheer for you and send their love, sometimes during the game since they hate your opponent - they will make sure to "boo"(gentle) him and it could work for your advantage, fans have a lot of power. The problem is that they could turn on you if you disappoint them or at anytime no matter what you do, there are many stories of fanatic fans, a fan can be easily named fanatic since fan is in the word. Fans can send you a teddy bear in the mail and at the same time can show their love to someone they don't admire by damaging his/her car or setting trash cans on fire, being blamed for dragging others of behaving the same and getting arrested till someone posts bail, a fan has positive or negative power, usually it could be a group of hundreds or thousands or millions of fans and could go to many extremes, sometimes one fan can be stronger than a group of fans, taking it personally that everything you do contributes or ruins their personal life, it is true to some extent - depending what kind of fan, if you win a golf tournament they are happy and can go cheer for you outside of your window 12 hours a day, if you lose - they will blame you for everything that happens in their life, it's very natural and human behavior to be disappointed but fans should keep in mind that professional golf players, soccer teams, pop/rock stars are are also human and not robots, getting disappointed and maybe letting others know is one thing, getting fanatic and wild to the point you are sentenced for two years in prison is another, this is something all fans out there should keep in mind.
